The “Local Flavours: Participation and Local Consumption in Valencia” project promotes citizen participation, strengthens community organisations and encourages the consumption of local, seasonal produce. It aims to improve residents’ quality of life—particularly in the Mestalla neighbourhood—and contribute to the community’s sustainable development.
Report on results and recommendations for measures on local consumption
A household survey was conducted and its findings were used to prepare a report setting out the results, conclusions and proposed measures to promote the consumption of locally grown, seasonal fruit and vegetables.

Placing posters
Posters have been placed in different locations with the aim of promoting the consumption of local fruits and vegetables, and to encourage residents to answer the survey about their household habits.
Delivery of brochures
Information brochures have been delivered on the benefits of local consumption, encouraging people to share, through the survey, their household habits on this topic.
