Subsidies intended for citizen entities of the Comunitat Valenciana, to strengthen citizen participation in the field of associations – Year 2023.
The Association has carried out different networking actions that have been aimed at creating a HUB against food waste.
This project has been funded with 22.446,00 € by Conselleria de Participación, Transparencia, Cooperación y Calidad Democrática . File number: TPASOC/84/2023
Creating a project web page
A web section has been launched within the Association’s website with the aim of disseminating the project and, on the other hand, sharing some of the resources that have been developed during its execution.
Preparation of training materials
Different posters have been prepared about the project, an information brochure, a magnet to raise awareness about food waste in homes and several infographics on the subject.
The posters were displayed at several locations, while the leaflets and magnets were distributed at different venues. The infographics are available on the HUB website.
Household Food Waste Survey
A survey has been designed and shared to collect some data on food waste that occurs at the household stage of the chain.
Report with the causes of waste in the different phases of the agri-food chain and measures to reduce it
A detailed report has been prepared that covers the main causes of food losses and waste, as well as the main measures to avoid them, in each of the phases of the agri-food value chain: production, transformation and transportation, distribution, catering and homes.
This is available for free download on the project HUB website.
Video about waste
A short video has been prepared in which some ideas have been compiled and shared to help reduce food waste from the point of view of consumers and in homes.
Participation in conferences, debates and forums
The Association took part in conferences, debates and open forums addressing food waste and developing specific proposals for public action and policy.
