Calling all agri-food producers!
Valencia City Council is launching Mercats de L’Horta for the direct sale of agri-food products at permanent weekly markets.
The markets will be held in four neighbourhoods of Valencia: Castellar-L’Oliveral (Plaça de la Figuereta), Benimaclet (Plaça de Benimaclet), Malilla (Carrer Entrada de la Casa Sant Pau) and Pla del Remei (Carrer Martínez Ferrando). They will take place every Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm, except in Pla del Remei, where the market will be held on Tuesdays.
Each market will have up to 15 stalls where shoppers can find fresh and prepared food produced by the stallholders themselves.
Applications for stalls will be assessed, with priority given to proposals involving local or organic produce, protected designations of origin or other quality schemes, and those that include specific groups, among other criteria.
Authorisations for each market stall will be granted for fifteen years. Each applicant may apply for up to four authorisations, one for each new market.
If you produce agri-food goods such as seasonal fruit or vegetables, honey, cheese, oil, bread or traditional sweets, horchata, natural cosmetics or fair-trade foods, do not miss this opportunity. Submit your application to sell your products through a direct sales channel.
